Steve advises that the roof is slack bad repair and rattling in wind, could possibility put a section of roof and refill the edge, we would also need to find the roof folding tool.
I will check with Adam/ Sam to see if they would like us to carry out the repair

I have spoken to Adam, he has authorised for us to purchase a replacement piece of roof. (Steve thinks that we should be able to get an off cut from ECS) I will contact Shaun to see if has anything suitable

ECS have advised that the metal would be £150.00 + VAT including delivery

I have phoned Steve to see whether we could take a piece of roof from a scrap van, he advised that we could but it would take a great deal of time to get the piece of roof off in the right condition.
Steve advised that we could put a concrete block on the roof to stop the rattling as a temp measure.
I have updated Sam and Adam
Sam will ring the customer and let her know what we are doing and that the new piece of roof will take about two weeks to arrive

Steve has put some blocks onto the roof, Sam has been advised by the customer that this has reduced the noise made by the roof. As soon as the part arrives from ECS we will carry out the repair

Ash has emailed to advise he will chase this up and will try and get it on next weeks delivery, he will confirm they have this on friday when they load up

Steve has phoned advising that the customer is expecting the roof repair to sort out all the noise all over the roof. Steve has explained that this repair is just to sort out the loose / damaged area over the bedroom as agreed with Sam. I have asked him whether the customer is going to let him carry out the repair or whether he is just going to pack up and come back. He said that he will carry out the repair but the customer will probably want the whole roof repaired

Debbie phoned she advised that she had taken advice and had been advised not to let us proceed with the repair. She is not happy with the flexing of the roof. She has advised that the roof has now become more noisy in the lounge and that they are worried that the roof will blow off. Debbie advised that she had not been aware that the repair that we were making over the bedroom would not resolve the issue with the banging in other parts of the holiday home.
I explained to Debbie that the roof becoming slack over time was normal with this style roof , she confirmed that the holiday home next door also has the same style roof which also flexes in the wind. She also confirmed that the unit was on a very exposed windy site.
Debbie advised that our engineer had told her that the roof was flexing far too much, and there was too give in the roof. "More flex than there should be for a van of this age" According to Debbie, Steve recommended a new roof being fitted and confirmed that this could be undertaken on site.

Shaun has advised that if the roof is mill finish, which he suspects it is, that you cannot re- tension the roof. You would need to replace the roof. He has advised that this is really common on windy sites.
Shaun has advised that he is in Bude next week and can call in and inspect the roof and give us a second opinion and a cost for replacing the roof.

Shaun dropped in and advised Sam may be able to fix roof down where it has loosened off but problem with be finding the joists - he / Sam will discuss more with Ade on Monday.

I have spoken to Shaun he is calling in tomorrow to look at similar roofs in the yard. He thinks that if we use a smaller section of roof to repair the van at the back. He will then flashband the roof section. He will then use text screws to secure the roof to the roof battons. Hopefully this will sort out the issue. Once Shaun has been in tomorrow he will supply me with a quote and let me know when he can attend to carry out the repairs

I have spoken to Debbie and explained that we have call in a roof specialist who has advised that the he will put a new piece of roof on the van and then screw the roof down onto the battens with tech roofing screws.
