Morco have attended site, out come below. Email from Sam at Morco.

Our engineer attended this van this afternoon, he reported the reason the water heater was cutting out was because the flue was not fitted.

This is not Morco warranty as Morco do not install the appliance. We believe Swift despatch the van without the flue fitted, and therefore it is the responsibility of the commissioning engineer to fit the flue.

We are concerned that the engineer who commissioned the boiler did so without the flue being installed. This basically means the commissioning certificate issued by the commissioning engineer is, for want of a better term, not worth the paper it is written on.

The Morco agent who attended would have been within his rights to cap off the appliance and report it as not to current specifications, leaving the customer without hot water. However despite this he fitted the flue and tested the appliance leaving it working.

With this in mind we will take the date of sale as the start of the warranty on the appliance not the date it was “commissioned” as we know the van owner was using the appliance prior to it being “commissioned”.

      Regards
