      Hi Claire,

We will be sending our team to replace these carpets, we are trying to get this booked in sooner rather than later and will let you know as soon as we have a date.

      Thanks,

      Good morning Claire,

I am emailing with an update following the Swift engineer visit on Wednesday 11th June. Mark did speak to Matt about it all on the phone earlier today, so you may have already been aware, but we wanted to make sure you had all the info and photos as well.

Firstly, as you are aware, the Swift engineer was visiting this lodge to have a look at the bedroom and hall carpets. The engineer told the owners and also reported back to us when he was finished that the faults in the carpet were the result of the carpet being cut incorrectly when first sited and that the rooms will need new carpets.

Secondly, while in the lodge the engineer noted two further problems and suggested that the owners inform us of the problems, so that they could be reported to Swift. The issues are described by the owners below-

“We have just had a visit from a swift engineer to discuss the carpet problem. Whilst here he informed us that the curtains were not fitted or hung properly resulting in the curtain de- threading and dragging on the carpet. He advised me to take and send you photos and suggested that you should forward the email and photos to Swift.

Following the engineers visit to see the carpet....he also noted that the lodge floor was creaking when walked on and suggested that I emailed you to notify Swift of the problem”.

In terms of the carpets and the curtain poles, as I mentioned in a previous email, this lodge came to us from a Surfbay showground where it would have been sited for viewings. As a result, the lodge arrived here with its carpets already having been cut and the curtain poles having already been hung, so these issues would have been the result of the first siting on the Surfbay showground.

In terms of the creaking floor, the engineer stated to the owners that the floor creaking could be a sign that something is wrong underneath the lodge. He informed them that the underneath of the lodge should/needs to be checked.

The owners came to the sales office, straight after the engineers visit, to report what they had been told and said that they would like to get these issues rectified asap.

Let me know if you need any further information.

      Kind regards,
      Jade

emailed Helen and Theresa, this unit was originally at winkleigh and swift put it together, therefore they cut the carpet and should put it right
