I have email Diane to ask why this has been rejected as it wasn't broken at PDI stage, now waiting for a response. If they still stand by their rejection then this will have to be ordered as GW.

        Ade,
I have asked Abi why they have rejected this issue and Diane has said "Unfortunately a toilet seat wouldn't crack where you sit on it unless something had dropped or fallen on it.
If the toilet seat had broken perhaps where it fastens to the bowl itself that could possibly be due to a fault in the fixing and we would replace this under warranty.
A cracked toilet seat 6 months after sale is deemed to be ‘user damage’ I’m afraid which is not covered under warranty as you know.
Do you just want me to order one as Good will for the park or advise them that its rejected?
        thanks
