I can put extra info on jira ?
Heide report this at the park via the phone and wanted it done as warranty.
After looking into this I can see that Steve has previously been out to this issue back in jan 2015.
I have issued a assessment sheet for our engineer to have a look at this and see what their thoughts are on this one.
Called park back as I said we might be able to fit them in on Thursday as I was trying to explain this to Heidi and as she was new she passed me over to Lee.. He wants to know whey its not covered under warranty and started quoting the sales of good act to me, I said to him I'm not arguing the fact that is something wrong with the wall board / window and I can see that we have already been out to repair it as Swift reject this.
I finally got to finish and say that we will send out an engineer to assess this and that way we then have more infor/ photos to take this back to swift if they feel its a design fault.

I have spoken to Ade, we will resubmit to swift as we think this might be a van that has issue with leaking. Richard at the park will update the van owners, Lorraine is also going to quote in the mean time. Call 12:36:06pm

          Swift have advised:
As you can appreciate we have never sent out our engineer and covered any water ingress warranty work on this holiday home so i can understand why this has been rejected,

However, I am happy to send an engineer to inspect and assess this van but only on the basis of below:

          • If the engineer determines it is as a result of manufacture, ie the cause of the water ingress was as a direct failure of the production methods used, then we will cover the cost of the repair, and undertake the work, as a goodwill gesture, as the van is now out of warranty.
          • If the engineer finds that the cause is a manufacturing, but the van has not been properly maintained, then we will not cover all of the cost, and we will ask for a portion of the cost to be paid by the customer. (we would be prepared to undertake the repair and would do so at cost price)
          • If the engineer finds that the cause is not due to manufacturing defect, ie the cause is wear and tear, due to weather, or age of the product, then we will not cover any of the cost associated with the repair. ( we would not undertake the work)

I hope you think this is fair.

Karen at the park was asking me today what the engineer has done to repair the van, she said she looked inside but couldn't see anything.
I checked on Swift under engineers but they the worksheet is not on the system as yet so I was unable to update her.
I said I will email one of the warranty team who can have a look in tues/ wed and let her know or she may well call us before.
I will email Debbie as she has been dealing with this one.
