Leak in en-suite bathroom, The leak from the en-suit has now flooded the bathroom which has ruined the lino and has now crept into the main bedroom ruining the bedroom carpet.

      Description

      The owner has not been to his caravan for some time after reporting the last warranty claim where we had believed that all of these issues were dealt with but clearly not.

        received email from park, not all the photos will attach, have asked park for more info, they have not told us where it is leaking from, have also asked who was the engineer who attended

        Hi Claire,
        We have no idea where it is leaking from we presume it is from the sink as the toilet was checked on a previous visit from an engineer and said that it was fine.
        Unfortunately I wasn't here when the engineer isolated the van so I couldn't tell you who it was but it was some one from Atlas not one of our maintenance team.

        park emailed chasing this, spoke to Karen at Atlas, she has advised the engineer was in the van about a month before this happened, when he went into the van he noticed water pouring out of the tap, he told the park to isolate the water and dry the van out, they are only going back to replace the tap, will not cover any damage to the floor, the engineer thinks someone has tampered with the tap in between his visits.
        spoke to Steph at the park, no one is allowed in the van when the customer is not on site, the owner has not been in the van for a while, they have isolated the water as discussed with the engineer and currently have a dehumidifier in the van, they will not accept anyone has tampered with the tap.

        phoned atlas and spoke to Karen, they are standing by this is a commission issue, have asked why when the customer took over in march, they have advised the plumber has not done it right or due to the water being left on, the pressure of the water could have caused this, they have photos showing what the engineer found.
        spoke to Ben, we have agreed to send Duncan monday or tuesday, he will go and assess the van and we will order parts as goodwill.

        Duncan phoned to say he has been into the van this morning, Steph is not back until wed, no one really knew anything about it, he has had to take everything out of the en-suite and take the lino up just to allow the floor to dry, also taken up part of the main bedroom carpet, the dehumidifier was sat in the lounge with the plug out, he has plugged it back in, customer has a safe in the bottom of the wardrobe which he did not touch, they will need to remove that when the work is carried out, will need 2 wallboards, en-suite lino and wardrobe carcus.

        After work completed today by myself and Steve we found the old tap still in the van and didn't want to risk fitting this, Atlas have advised they replaced this in January but couldn't have due to the van being stripped out, I have ordered a new tap that is being sent to park tomorrow (19-4-24) for the park to fit and commission.
